Rif War History Museum & School

The Rif region holds a powerful yet often overlooked chapter of history — the Rif War (1921–1926), a story of resilience, sacrifice, and the fight for freedom. Today, much of this history risks being forgotten, with few resources available for young people to learn about their heritage.

The Rif Development Foundation aims to change this by building a Rif War History Museum and Educational Center, a place where the community and visitors can discover authentic artifacts, historical documents, and immersive exhibitions, while also offering an on-site school and research facility dedicated to preserving and teaching this history.

Project Goal & Location
To raise funds for the construction and furnishing of a combined museum and history school in the Rif, making it a hub for cultural preservation, research, and education. The plan is to establish 1 big museum in Al Hoceima and 2 smaller hubs in the Gzenaya region and the Nador region because of the military history in those regions.
