Issam 'Harman' Aberqi, 36, is the founder of the Rif Development Foundation, and the tour agency Rif Discovery. Through his work in tourism, guiding visitors across the Rif Mountains and sharing the region’s culture and history, Issam saw both the beauty and the struggles of local communities. This experience sparked his passion to go beyond tourism and create lasting change. In 2025, he founded the Rif Development Foundation with the mission of empowering the Rif through education, healthcare, cultural preservation, and community development.

Yassine Yakchar, 33, serves as the Chief Operating Officer of the Rif Development Foundation. With a strong background in community organization and project coordination, Yassine brings structure and vision to the foundation’s day-to-day operations. Having witnessed firsthand the challenges and potential of the Rif region, he is deeply committed to creating sustainable opportunities for its people. Yassine’s leadership and eye for details on turning ideas into action, ensuring that every project of the foundation delivers real, lasting impact across the Rif.
